Giving back to the community and social responsibility have always been cornerstones of the Lord Camden Inn. The Inn's commitment to these cornerstones permeates every aspect of our business, beginning internally with our employees all the way up to the ownership, with the goal of making a positive socal and environmental difference in the community as well as the hospitality industry.

Each year our Inn sets a goal as to how much we would like to contribute to local causes in the form of either gift certificates, cash donations, or through volunteerism. We continue to take a grass roots approach to philanthropy, staying true to our entrepreneurial roots, rallyiing behind causes and organizations that inspire our owners and employees.

Whether it's donating room nights to one of the many local concerts or festivals, hosting meetings for local organizations, or donating gift certificates to local school and charity auctions, our Inn's goal is to form lasting relationships in our community. Below is a list of a few of the many local organizations that we support on an anuual basis that we feel benefit needs in Education, Family & Community, Arts & Culture, Environment, and Health:


United Mid-Coast Charities
UMCC is dedicated to the support of charities which provide social services and care to the most deserving, including medical, physical, social, psychiatric or community educational services. UMCC strives to locate charities that offer the most possible benefit to residents in and around Mid-Coast Maine. To learn more, click here.

Youth Arts

Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League
The Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League's mission is to provide a safe, caring environment for homeless and abandoned companion animals until they can be placed with loving families, and to promote humane values in our communities. In addition, the shelter also provides community outreach and humane education programs. Learn more.

Merryspring Nature Center
Merryspring Nature Center is a non-profit, privately-owned 66-acre park and education center in Camden and Rockport, Maine, with nature trails and gardens open to the public every day free of charge. This member-supported organization offers talks, classes and workshops throughout the year. To learn more, click here.
