 The Lord Camden Inn is excited to offer you several in-room spa services offered by our very own Mindi Moran, LMT. Mindi is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Maine. She is a graduate of Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine, with a focus on Swedish, Deep Tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular and Sports massage techniques.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body
by stimulating circulation. During Swedish massage, the massage therapist uses massage oil to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic Swedish massage moves include kneading, friction, stretching and sometimes tapping. Swedish massage is the most commonly offered type of massage and is the perfect place to start if this is your first massage.

Hot Stone Therapy
This system of massage stimulates the circulatory system, softens and relaxes muscles, helps to release toxins, and induces a state of deep relaxation. Hot stone massage is a specialty massage
that uses smooth, heated stones. They
are often basalt, a black volcanic rock
that absorbs and retains heat well.
During the massage, the therapist warms up the body with traditional Swedish massage, then uses the heated stones.

Neuromuscular Therapy
This comprehensive program of soft-tissue manipulation balances the body's central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system. Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a style of bodywork that uses constant, focused pressure on a specific area. This pressure is applied for a period of time lasting up to 30 seconds and uses the fingertips, knuckles and elbow to apply the pressure. NMT can be used for conditions such as low back pain and stiffness, neck pain and stiffness, headaches, repetative motion injuries, and athletic injuries.
